Educational Background

Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Institute of Materials Science and Technology

Dipl.-Ing. in mechanical engineering, TU Wien, Austria, 2012

Career Background

Dr. Lückl has a good experimental and theoretical background in the field of material science. During the period 2011 to 2012, he joined the company Plansee SE as process engineer focusing on the process of wire drawing of molybdenum and tungsten alloys. In his position, he gained insight in process optimization and quality control.

From 2012 to 2015, he worked as project assistant at the Institute of Materials Science and Technology, TU Wien, where he extended his interest to continuous casting of microalloyed steels. During this period, he gained significant know-how in hot ductility and worked with different metallurgical laboratory devices, such as the Gleeble. Part of his job were thermokinetic simulations of microalloyed steels with the software package MatCalc.

The combination of experimental background and simulation capabilities make him a good candidate to join and help us in developing new technologies and products. Since August 2015, he is an active team member of MatCalc Engineering GmbH.
